Tragically, Hottle died on July 21 at the age of 18 following a single-vehicle crash in Frederick County, Maryland. The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later confirmed that she died from multiple blunt-force injuries and ruled her death an accident.
Although her acting career was only beginning, Kaylee had already become an important figure for Deaf representation in Hollywood. She also appeared in Magnum P.I., and co-stars praised both her talent and professionalism.
