Optical illusions and brain teasers are a fun way to put your observation skills to the test while giving your brain a quick workout. This dolphin puzzle is a great example. At first glance, it appears to show only a handful of dolphins swimming in the sea, but there’s much more hidden in the image than meets the eye.
Take a closer look, and you’ll discover that the illustration actually contains 17 dolphins. Some are immediately visible, while others are cleverly disguised within the shapes and outlines of the larger dolphins, making them much harder to notice.
If you’re struggling to find them all, here’s a helpful clue. The first row contains 5 dolphins, the second row hides 6 dolphins, and the third row also includes 6 dolphins. Knowing how they’re distributed can make the search a little easier without completely giving away their locations.
Many people miss several dolphins on their first attempt because the brain naturally focuses on the most obvious shapes before recognizing the hidden ones. Once you find all 17, the illusion suddenly becomes much clearer, showing just how easily our eyes can be fooled by clever visual design.
