During his presidency, Donald Trump launched an extensive branding campaign that placed his name, initials, or likeness on a wide range of public projects, government initiatives, and commemorative items. Supporters described these efforts as a way to honor his legacy and accomplishments, while critics argued they represented an unusual level of personal branding within public institutions.
One of the most widely discussed changes was the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport. The airport’s code also began transitioning from PBI to DJT, while the main road connecting the airport to Mar-a-Lago was renamed President Donald J. Trump Boulevard. In addition, a bridge in Tennessee was renamed in his honor as part of similar recognition efforts.
The administration also introduced several government programs bearing Trump’s name. These included TrumpRx.gov, a prescription drug marketplace, and Trump Accounts, a savings initiative created for children. His image and name also appeared on commemorative U.S. passports, 2026 America the Beautiful national park passes, proposed commemorative currency, and special 24-karat gold visa cards intended to support expedited immigration programs.
Other initiatives included the establishment of the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace at the U.S. Institute of Peace. Trump also sought to add his name to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, although that effort was later overturned by a federal court ruling. Taken together, these projects became some of the most recognizable examples of his administration’s emphasis on presidential branding and public recognition.
